GUIA DA ALMA

Making the business side of therapy visible.

Therapists wanted more clients, clearer earnings and less time spent administering the platform.

CHALLENGE

Guia da Alma is a mental health platform that connects people and companies with a network of certified therapists. Therapists had the lowest NPS among key audiences. The platform had grown feature by feature, leaving them to piece together sessions, payments and availability across several tools, with little clarity about earnings or demand.

How much am I earning, and why am I getting so few clients? I shifted the dashboard to put finances first.

Availability was difficult to manage across separate calendars. I brought external commitments alongside platform sessions, with quieter styling to distinguish them. The aim was to help therapists plan around their existing schedule without replacing the tools they relied on.

Therapists needed control over what they offered, but Services was buried in Settings. I moved it into the main navigation and ruled out an approval queue: bookings already reached the calendar automatically.

Therapists wanted to understand how they were performing on the platform and how to improve their visibility. This led to profile metrics, a profile score and reviews.

An unconfirmed session could hold up payment. I made outstanding confirmations part of the next login, one session at a time. The trade-off was an interruption to resolve a payment dependency; its effect on the therapist’s workflow still needs validation.

Easy to join, whether signing up for the platform or joining the next session. Everything in one place, at a glance.

The product had grown without a consistent design language, making actions and statuses harder to interpret. With a full rebrand outside scope, I created shared tokens and components to give recurring tasks a consistent visual language, including invoice and payment states.

“Contaifer was essential to the development of Guia da Alma’s new system. He became our design reference for every new application and built the foundational design system that empowered the entire team.”

“He led the project masterfully, was always engaged, and cared about every detail. I highly recommend him—he is a truly senior professional, and I would hire him for any complex design project.”
